I’ll talk straight to the point. Singing does not require a degree. To sing properly one needs to learn to sing well. Many such people will also find you who have a degree but they cannot sing any raga properly.
Concentrate on learning
So you have to think whether you just want a degree or learn to sing properly. If you want to learn the song, just concentrate on learning the song. If only you want a degree, then only take the degree as you wish.
