शुरुआत मे संगीत सीखने के लिए आप कॅसियो, कीबोर्ड या पियानो ले सकते हैं। सीखते वक़्त ध्यान से अभ्यास करना होगा। कुछ महीने सीखने के बाद आप तानपूरा अप्लिकेशन का इस्तेमाल भी शुरू कर सकते हैं। जबतक स्वर ज्ञान सही से ना हो जाए तबतक सिर्फ़ तानपूरा पर अभ्यास करना सही नही होता। जब भी रियाज़ किया जाता जाता है हार्मोनीयम कॅसियो या पिनो पर तो साथ मे तानपूरा अप्लिकेशन बजाके रखना चाहिए। ये बात सही है की अगर आपके पास हार्मोनीयम नही है तो घबराने की ज़रूरत नही है। आप ये सब इन्स्ट्रुमेंट इस्तेमाल कर सकते हैं।
