Meend
Swaras can be sung in such a way that there is no vacancy in between them. It is called Meend, like going from Sa to Re, showing a singing by making a bridge. If we take a little bit from the middle then the touch of the swaras between them is not heard separately. Meend is a specialty of Indian music. Using Meend in singing, the song sounds very good to hear.
मीड
सुरों को इस तरह से गाया जाए कि उनके बीच में कोई जगह खाली ना रहे इसी ही मीड कहते हैं। जैसे सा से रे पर जाना, एकदम गोल करके, एक ब्रिज बनाकर गायकी दिखाना, इसको मेड कहते हैं। अगर हम सा से म तक मीड लेते हैं तो उसके बीच के स्वरों का स्पर्श अलग अलग सुनाई नहीं पड़ता। मीड भारतीय संगीत की विशेषता है। गायकी में मीड का इस्तेमाल करने से गाना सुनने में बहुत अच्छा लगता है।
